Pedro Carneiro (born 1975) is a Portuguese solo classical percussionist, marimba player, composer, and conductor. He has won several international competitions and awards and performs regularly in festivals, concerts, and as a guest soloist with numerous orchestras. He is one of the very few percussion players to have made an international career as a soloist, performing regularly throughout Europe, Asia and the USA. He has released several solo recordings, and his music has been aired on radio and television stations throughout the world. Pedro has given masterclasses in many prestigious conservatories and universities and is currently the visiting professor of Solo Percussion Studies at the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra in Lisbon.
