Tom DENNISON

Although relatively young, Auckland-based double bassist Tom Dennison has performed with an impressive roster of musical luminaries, including Alan Broadbent, Mike Nock, Molly Ringwald, Roger Manins, and Frank Gibson Jr. After a stint in New York he released his debut album Zoo on Rattle Records, a collaboration with Roger Manins (saxophone), Steve Barry (piano), Peter Koopman (guitar) and Alex Freer (drums). Zoo was the result of a surplus of inspiration from seeing great musicians performing in the USA, and from lessons with Matt Penman, Larry Grenadier, and many others.
