SoundDome is an acousmatic instrument of 25 speakers arrayed in a geodesic dome. It brings to life a three-dimensional sound world previously conceivable only in the imagination of the composer.
Curated and directed by John Coulter, several composers were invited to create works specifically for the immersive sonic qualities of the SoundDome space, which resulted in exceptional works of sonic art created by composers John Coulter, Chris Cree Brown, David Downes, John Elmsly, and Paul Smith.
