Flight on Light

Flight on Light took four years to produce, beginning with a series of improvisations by Manos recorded in 2006. Manos described each performance as being delivered “in one breath”, single takes in which the essential arc of each composition was firmly established.

From these recordings, seven pieces were chosen. David Downes, Tim Prebble, Steve Garden and John Psathas developed the material while retaining the compositional integrity of Manos’ original single-take inspirations. The results, we feel, are exceptional.
