Norman Meehan

Norman is a New Zealand pianist and composer who most enjoys working collaboratively. He has toured extensively with vocalist Hannah Griffin and poet Bill Manhire and together they have released five albums of songs. These include Buddhist RainMaking Baby Float and Small Holes in the Silence for Rattle. Their collaboration was documented in the film Persuading the Baby to Float directed by Keith Hill for Attar Media (2012), and the film In Concert on the DVD that accompanies Making Baby Float.

Norman is also a member of the trio Unwind, a group he maintains with saxophonist Hayden Chisholm and bassist Paul Dyne. The trio have release too albums on Rattle, Unwind (2017) and Orange (2018).

Norman lives with his family in Wellington.
